What's the AV team about?

Here's a rough mission statement:

Spreading the good news

The audio-visual ministry provides sound and visuals support to MBC church services and other events to enhance congregational worship and the teaching of the gospel by various means such as projection of words and images, lighting, sound amplification, hearing-aid loops, tape and web recordings.

So what about this web area?

This web area is for anyone with an interest in AV — those of the MBC congregation who'd like to join in the discussions about AV, those who'd like to get information about AV, and the AV team.
It contains a wiki (which will contain useful fairly static information contributed by the AV team) forums (for discussion of AV-related topics), calendars (for useful dates), blogs, newsletters (for distributed information), etc.
The PA and DP rotas are viewable without login.

Most facilities are only available to registered users and only show up in menus if so.
Registration is human-authorised (by Charlie at present) and is open to members and friends of MBC. The AV Team get additional privileges, e.g. being able to edit wiki pages.
To register, click the login word at the top right, then register.

The software used is TikiWiki — a full list of possible features can be found at http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Features but most of these are disabled until we work out how to use and configure them.
